York University is experiencing a temporary disruption to its
facilities/service.

Lumbers Building will be closed. The sidewalk between Lumbers, Farquharson, and Lassonde will also be closed
Nature of Disruption:
, the Lumbers Building will be closed. The sidewalk between Lumbers, Farquharson, and Lassonde will also be closed – including the west facing doors between Farquharson and Lumbers. Contractors will be working to change the Lumbers High Voltage Transformer, which is located in the penthouse electrical room. A crane will be used to remove the existing transformer from the roof, and again to raise the new transformer into position. The transformers weigh upwards of 7000 lbs. each, and the building must remain empty with suspended loads overhead. The sidewalk area will be closed on the South/West side of Lumbers-adjacent to Farquharson and Lassonde where the crane will be located.
